Release Note for RealSAM Pocket and RealSAM Phone on 22nd March, 2024

Customers can now set the time before Pocket’s Screen will Timeout using the touchscreen main menu.

Step 1 Open the main menu using the L gesture

Step 2 Using the slide and lift gesture select Settings

Step 3 Using the slide and lift gesture select Screen Timeout

Step 4 Using the slide and lift gesture select your preferred length of time between 30 second to Never

• Open Magnifier or Magnifier
• Focus
• Zoom In or Magnify or Larger or Maximum Zoom
• Zoom out or Smaller or Minimum Zoom
• Turn on flash or flashlight
• Turn off flash
• Freeze or Capture or Capture image
• Detect Object or What is this?
• Text recognition or Read
• Increase brightness
• Decrease brightness
• Increase Contrast
• Decrease Contrast
• Grayscale or Grey
• Inverse
• Blue yellow or Change colour blue yellow
• Yellow blue
• Black yellow
• Black green
• Black blue
• Reset image or Restore image
• Unfreeze or New image
• Close Magnifier

Touchscreen Changes for the Sight Assistant:

• Button labels, positions and menu structure has changed.
• The Talk Button located towards the bottom of the screen.
• Directly above the Talk button is the freeze button
• To the left of the freeze button is the zoom in and the the right of the freeze button is zoom out
• Button labeled flash is located in the top right corner or the screen, and once an image is captured the button will be replaced by a button labelled Menu.
• The menu button can be used to edit the image. Once selected a full screen menu will open like the main touchscreen menu.
• Button labelled exit is located at the top right corner of the screen
